Re: "Source:" A-Rod to Miami maybe?
"I think there will certainly be interest," said Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson to Arizona Sport 620's Burns & Gambo when asked if the team has trade interest in Alex Rodriguez. The D'Backs are said to be seeking a third baseman, and GMs Kevin Towers and Brian Cashman worked together in the Yankees' front office in 2010.

Re: "Source:" A-Rod to Miami maybe?
Arod loves the single life in NYC, though. We'll see what happens. I'm not sure there would be good value for him either. It's no secret that he is slipping. He's got his contract, so he has nothing to prove in order to get paid.
Attention Steinbrenner and front-office morons! Your triumphs mean nothing. You all stink. You can sit on it, and rotate! This is George Costanza. I fear no reprisal. Extension 5-1-7-0.

Re: "Source:" A-Rod to Miami maybe?
Not so sure A-Rod will enjoy single life in NY too much if he rejects a viable trade and then under performs and continues to slip....got to imagine NYers will make his life a living hell at the ballpark AND in town.
A-Rod's gonna collect his $$ wherever he plays..so why not play somewhere where he'd be welcome and where the team that he plays for can always say there only paying A-Rod current market rates (assuming the NYY eat a significant portion of the contract)?

You don't even have to be a millionaire to get tons of tail in NYC (a few hundred Ks will do).

I don't think he is going anywhere, but I do think we will hear a lot of speculation from now til spring training.

Re: "Source:" A-Rod to Miami maybe?
I seriously think right now that A-rod won't be traded. Grandy however, I actually think this offseason he will be traded. I am holding off Getting a Nova jersey just in case. I really don't want to see him gone but I got a bad feeling he will be. I think the kid has some real talent but I can honestly see him being traded maybe even along with Grandy to maybe get more prospects out of the deal or for a Young MLB pitcher with a good upside.
Still and will always be a New England Patriots fan.

The Diamondbacks might as well have said:
"I think there is certainly interest among males between the ages of 16 and 35 for a Ferrari or a date with Kate Upton."

Re: "Source:" A-Rod to Miami maybe?
I don't see any circumstance where A-Rod would waive his NTC to go to a NL team.
He needs to remain in the AL, where the DH slot will allow him to remain in the lineup on a regular basis, and attain his HR milestone bonuses."Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever." - Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
