World Series Presale
Any idea when the World Series presale will be, and is it worth getting tickets during it considering what has been happening on Stubhub?

Re: World Series Presale
If you can get WS tickets in the presale, get them. The World Series is a whole other animal compared the the LDS and LCS. People will travel from all over the country to take in a World Series game, especially a World Series game in New York. It won't matter whether the opponent is the Giants, Nats or Cardinals ... all will make for a hot ticket. The Giants with their New York history, the Nats being a first time WS participant (and the proximity to DC) and the defending champion Cardinals.

Re: World Series Presale
Plus as others mentioned there's only 3 home games. Then you add the fact that there's extra media. You'll have media from places like Portland, Oregon or Charlotte, North Carolina that don't even have baseball teams and they'll be there covering the WS.
It's not hard to get seats for the earlier rounds, but in the WS it's tough to get any seats...so certainly if you have presale access then use it. The other tip of advise I'd say don't keep searching until you find your ideal section and seats... for the World Series you might get shut out of seats with that strategy.

Wondering if I would be better of buying direct or waiting for the Stubhub market?

Re: World Series Presale
Well, here's the price list:
http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/t...on_pricing.jsp
You'll be able to get non-obstructed seats starting at $106. I would be shocked If stubhub prices go below this. I guess after this postseason price collapse there's no telling what'll happen but I'm personally buying every last world series ticket I can get my hands on at face value

The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

Re: World Series Presale
wondering if considering that the WS wont start in NY until the 27th they'll hold it off as late as possible. Meaning ALCS game 7 ends on the 21st so in theory you can have it on the 22nd or 23rd

Holy Crap Batman, 12 TICKET LIMIT per account??? That's insane, they're just begging licensees to resell their tickets. I'm sure they're trying to keep us happy but it'll have the opposite effect and flood the market

I wonder if it is 12 tickets now and not the customary 2 because of the embarrassing attendance the past few days

Well, unless they all of a sudden wake up tomorrow against Verlander it will be a moot point.
