Our 2012 Postseason MVP
One of the characteristics of this team is that there are many guys who can contribute at any given time, and it's more of a 25-man effort here than some of the past teams we've had. Hopefully, that's the recipe for our success this year and the reason we'll go all the way. However, it'll be fun to watch who emerges as the real "star" of our postseason. The guy we'll look back on as having a great October run. I'm going with Ichiro. I think he's fired up, excited, and I'm looking forward to his driving Baltimore crazy in the ALDS and beyond. Thoughts?

Re: Our 2012 Postseason MVP
If he does what he's capable of, it's going to be hard for CC not to be the answer to this question, because he'll go seven strong innings and rack up a win in each of the games he starts.
On the offensive side, there are so many storylines ... Cano is obviously the beast in this lineup but also a guy that opposing managers may choose to pitch around. That will give redemption cases like A-Rod, Teixeira, and Swisher a chance to be a hero.
I do expect good things from Jeter and Ichiro and I also think there will be big moments from guys like Martin and Ibanez. Granderson is the one guy I worry about, but he's had big postseason performances before so he's certainly capable of coming up huge."Baseball is about hope, not confidence." -- rajah

Take a poll of who we'd least expect - -- go with that guy.

(a la "sleeping lion)"He'll never get another milestone like that one. So what? His whole career is a milestone.

Russell Martin - I am predicting that he will hit .350 with 22 RBI and 10 HR this post-season

Hoping it's Tex. I have a feeling we're going to see some Sexy Dark Chocolate this year

Nah, I don't think anyone jinxed him. This is pretty much who he is these days. I just hope he still has a couple of good games left in the tank.

Re: Our 2012 Postseason MVP
I think there's going to be a lot of heros, with my top prospects being Ichiro, Jeter, Swisher, and Cano. I think Martin will show flashes of brilliance too like yesterday, but I expect almost nothing out of A-Rod, Tex, Ibanez and an average showing by Granderson.
