Re: NLDS: Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants
If Lincecum remembers how to pitch the Giants are going to win; but I'm rooting for the boys from Ohio.

Re: NLDS: Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants
This is what the higher seed has to do, take the first game on the road and immediately put a stranglehold on the series.
All of the sudden the lower seed has one remaining home game and they have to win three out of four.

Re: NLDS: Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants
For all the crap that Dusty Baker gets, I think he has done a hell of a job managing tonite's game.

Re: NLDS: Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants
Impressive job by the Reds bullpen going 8 2/3 IP, allowing two runs, one off a Buster Posey solo shot off the first pitch from Mat Latos in the 6th and a wild pitch from Alrodis Chapman in the 9th.

First time since Game 3 of the 1995 NLDS vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers that the Cincinnati Reds earned a postseason victory.

Re: NLDS: Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants
Was I the only one who was baffled by Dusty's decision to pull Arroyo after 91 pitches? Why waste any part of your bullpen when you're up by 9? Obviously I'm biased here, but I also wanted to punch Baker in his ................ing face. And why have him bat if you're going to pull him?
This is no surprise, but Dusty Baker is an idiot.

Re: NLDS: Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants
Obviously the situation isn't dire or anything having only needing to win 1 of the next 3 at home, but the Reds really kinda need a win today for the rotation to get rested and allow time for Cueto to heal.
They left Leake off the postseason roster and Latos pitched Game 1. Who would even go in Game 4?

And to add, Cueto appears to be gone.
@johnfayman
Cueto has a mild oblique strain. Not good news. #reds

Outside of Posey and Pence the Giants bats seem to be cold.

Lincecum being used as a reliever.
I'll link to an article here, because I think he responded to the "demotion" extremely well.
