Let's go, Oakland. Push this series to five games.

Fielder is at the plate as the tying run with one out in the 9th.

Re: ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Detroit Tigers
I normally hate every team not named the Yankees, but I have a hard time hating against Oakland. Hoping this goes five so we don't see Verlander until game 3/4 of the CS.

Re: ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Detroit Tigers
I'd like to see Oakland advance or at the very least take it to five games to make Verlander pitch again... but right now I'm just stoked to have four ballgames to watch tomorrow.

Re: ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Detroit Tigers
He makes some bone headed reads on balls that make granderson look like gold glover but the dude does go all out and has an absolute cannon of an arm. I think he actually plays a better left field than center field which was supposedly his natural position in Cuba.
At the plate, how could you not be impressed. The sound off his bat is one of those special sounds that most hitters can only dream of.Baseball is life;

Re: ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Detroit Tigers
I agree that smart money would be on this but in one game - as Juaquin Andujar was wont to say - "One word, youneverknow."
Griffin has been dreadful of late. He started the final v Texas and had to be pulled early after the A's were down 5-0 but if he picthes like he did when he first came up, he can be lights out. I would guess Blackley would be up at the first sine of early trouble much like how Bochey went throu 4 picthers by the 4th inning today.
It will be interesting to see how Sherzer's shoulder responds tonight. I have to think if he was a 100% he would have gotten the ball in game 3.Baseball is life;

What a night this could end up being.
And watching this ass-clown Valverde give it up would be an amazing dessert for the main course served up by Ibanez."Baseball is about hope, not confidence." -- rajah

Re: ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Detroit Tigers
Wow. Down by two entering the bottom of the ninth, a single and two doubles off Valverde, and the A's have tied the game and have the winning run on second with no outs.
