While I would like the A's to win the series, what I was truly hoping for was a five game series. Still possible, but looking less likely. Would like to see Verlander pitch a potential game 5 so he can't start gm. 1 in the LCS.

Same here, I just hope Oakland can find a way to win the next two and take this series to a 5th Game.

Brutal the way they gave that one away but I've seen them battle back too much to count them out. Though I do admit it is a tough hill for them to climb.

Thankfully, this is the only one out of the four series where the format has come back to bite the team with HFA. The other three will all go home, at worst, tied.

With the way they played themselves into postseason, I'm not pronoucning them DOA until the last out of game 3, 4 or 5.

Where did you view yesterday's game? TBS showed movies beginning at noon and didn't begin play-off coverage until the Nats/Cards game. They kepy showing a little "promo box" in the lower lefthand corner stating that MLB was next. TNT wasn't carrying it either.

A couple of times during the Nats/Cards game, the picture and sound went off with a "no signal" message on the screen.

I guess but MLB is on my cable package. As well as TBS/TNT and most of the ESPN networks. I think if I really wanted the ESPNU it is an add on, but I don't so I don't have it.

That's really cool if it is on your cable. Here, you need to have satellite. Sometimes when ESPN advertises the Monday or Wednesday night game and the Yankees are playing, we get ESPNU instead. ESPN Classic isn't part of the cable package either.

We always seem to rough up Verlander though.
