If we tie Baltimore at the end of the season, do we have a one game playoff or are there tie breaker rules that decide like head to head etc?

One game playoff. What I dont know is who would have HFA in this game.

Let's take it further - if the Yankees, Orioles & Athletics all end up tied, the loser of the AL East playoff game would end up losing the HFA for the WC game, since the playoff game would qualify as a regular season game in the record.

The Yanks get to play the Red Sox for three games while the Orioles have to play the Rays. I'd say a tie for first is likely the worst case scenario for the Yanks.

The extra wildcard addressed the problem of teams not caring about winning the division. But, wow, there are a lot of unintended consequences associated with it. Not sure I like it overall.

But the three games in the Bronx, they are going to treat them like games 5,6,7 of the World Series. They're going to come in after laying down for Baltimore and play us like the lives of their newborn kids depends on them taking 2 out of 3..

Tickets for the potential tiebreaker game are included in the full post-season strip, but they don't actually charge for them unless the game is played. Their website also says there would be an email in late september regarding single games sales for the tiebreaker - no idea if that's actually happened, but there doesn't seem to be a mention of tiebreaker tickets anywhere else on the site.

Doubrant is better but the Orioles got to face Cook and Stewart. Dice K is better than those two pitchers. Yankees are going to have to sweep the Red Sox and it won't be easy against those three starters.

If we can't beat one of the worst teams in the AL and all of baseball, we don't deserve the division, SSS aside.
