Francesa
I looked around and couldn't find a Mike Francesa thread-- I'm not even sure we need one-- but I had to post this somewhere because it actually made me laugh out loud.

Re: Francesa
That's OK... I was falling asleep during that commentary also!
Welcome to NYYFans, the place where Yankees fans come together to complain about the manner in which our team is winning games.

Re: Francesa
Is there a missing link or video/audio or something on this thread?
Francessa is terrible but I like WFAN in general. And now that ESPN is on FM it's like they died to me because the sound is terrible on FM for talk radio and I can't program a button for it on radios at home because it's on a different band than the AM stations. So I just listen 100% to WFAN now or no sports talk at all

Re: Francesa
That's my biggest knock on 660, they treat the 20/20 updates as programming when everyone else treats them as commercials. Memo to WFAN, we have the INTERNET, you know, that thing 90% of us have on our phones with us at all times. People already know the scores, they should just update on the radio once an hour, or at worst every 30 minutes. Get out of the stone age for gods sake.

Re: Francesa
And not just that, but the 20/20's are long, ESPECIALLY the overnight sports flashes. They were very useful twenty years ago before the internet's explosion and smart phones, a time when people would call a company to receive the sports scores. It's time for a change. I think ESPN has the right idea. A short sports update every thirty minutes that only covers the super relevant news.
