    Plan holder presales start at 9 am September 19th (Wednesday):

    http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/t...ale_letter.jsp

    On behalf of the Steinbrenner family and the Yankees players, manager, coaches and front-office staff, we thank you for your support this season.

    2012 Postseason - Preliminary Pre-On-Sales: We are happy to announce that for the 2012 postseason, in addition to two (2) Pre-On-Sales, the Yankees will continue to have two (2) Preliminary Pre-On-Sales for Ticket Licensees whose Partial Plans contains less than twenty (20) games ("Eligible Licensees") . As more particularly set forth in the Terms and Conditions, each Preliminary Pre-On-Sale is structured in a way that recognizes Eligible Licensees' seniority and the number of seats in their Partial Plans.

    All 2012 Eligible Licensees will be automatically entered into two (2) ONLINE ONLY random drawings to participate in the Preliminary Pre-On-Sales. Each drawing will select a number of Eligible Licensees who will participate in the applicable Preliminary Pre-On-Sale for the opportunity to purchase two (2) Tickets (subject to availability) for a potential game scheduled to be played in Yankee Stadium during the applicable potential 2012 postseason series.

    As an Eligible Licensee, even if you are not selected to participate in the Preliminary Pre-On-Sales, you will be provided with the opportunity to purchase Tickets, subject to availability, to potential 2012 postseason games scheduled to be played in Yankee Stadium as part of the Pre-On-Sales scheduled to be held on or about September 19, 2012 and on or about October 17, 2012, respectively.

    For the 2012 postseason, the Yankees will hold the following Preliminary Pre-On-Sales and Pre-On-Sales ONLINE ONLY for 2012 Ticket Licensees who hold at least one (1) Partial Plan (i.e., Ticket Licensees with a 16-Game Plan, a 12-Game Plan and/or an 9-Game Plan in their Ticket Account):
    • On or about 9 a.m. on September 19, 2012: Preliminary Pre-On-Sale for the opportunity to purchase available Tickets to a potential game scheduled to be played during the American League Division Series ("ALDS") and/or the American League Championship Series ("ALCS");
    • On or about 1 p.m. on September 19, 2012: Pre-On-Sale for the opportunity to purchase available Tickets to a potential game scheduled to be played during the ALDS and/or the ALCS;
    • On or about 9 a.m. on October 17, 2012: Preliminary Pre-On-Sale for the opportunity to purchase available Tickets to a potential game scheduled to be played during the World Series; and
    • On or about 1 p.m. on October 17, 2012: Pre-On-Sale for the opportunity to purchase available Tickets to a potential game scheduled to be played during the World Series.

    Only a LIMITED number of tickets (as determined by the New York Yankees in its sole and absolute discretion) will be made available during the Preliminary Pre-On-Sales and Pre-On-Sales.

    Only Eligible Licensees may participate in the aforementioned Preliminary Pre-On-Sales and Pre-On-Sales. Ticket Licensees who only hold Full Season, 41-Game Plans, 40-Game Plans and/or 20-Game Plans during the 2012 season are not eligible to participate in the Preliminary Pre-On-Sale or the Pre-On-Sale. However, Licensees of 20-Game Plan No. 2 will be eligible to participate in the Preliminary Pre-On-Sale for the opportunity to purchase available Tickets to a potential American League Division Series game. Licensees of 20-Game Plan No. 2 will be permitted to purchase, subject to availability, a maximum of two Tickets to either potential Home Game 2 or Home Game 3 scheduled to be played at Yankee Stadium during the American League Division Series.

    Both the Preliminary Pre-On-Sales and the Pre-On-Sales will be held prior to the dates on which Tickets for the applicable 2012 postseason series will be made available for purchase to the general public. Please take a moment to carefully review the terms and conditions relating to the Preliminary Pre-On-Sales and the Pre-On-Sales as they differ from prior years' Pre-On-Sale terms and conditions for postseason games.

    Thank you for your continued loyalty and support. We look forward to seeing at the Stadium soon. Please do not hesitate to contact your Season Ticket Sales and Service Account Executive directly, the Season Ticket Sales and Service Department at (212) YANKEES or email seasontickets@yankees.com should you have any questions.

    There will also be a lottery drawing for the general public to buy postseason tickets to one game. You have until 9/15 to register for the WCR/ALDS/ALCS and until 10/14 to register for the World Series purchase opportunity:

    This is the part that pisses me off the most: "Only a LIMITED number of tickets (as determined by the New York Yankees in its sole and absolute discretion) will be made available during the Preliminary Pre-On-Sales and Pre-On-Sales." Especially for the pre-sale round.

    Been screwed since '10 season - no world series played mean no recovery for the season ticket packages.

    '09 was good.

    2009 was the best year ever, I cleared a few thousand net on the regular season, made a lot on the postseason, and got to go to a bunch of games including the World Series winner and Phil Coke sprayed champagne on me above the dugout after I jumped the moat

    I agree! My best season so far. I went to 30something games including all playoff games except Game 2 and sitting there at the WS win was one of the hightlights of my life!

    2009 was stellar for me too (the last month anyway)

    Saw them clinch vs. Boston at end of Sept from my crappy relo seats, went to first postseason game vs. Twins, saw ALCS game 6 clincher, and WS game 6 clincher.

    Then it all went downhill after that. Should've hung it up right there had I known. Barely got in for 2010 ALCS and 2011 ALCS (which never happened anyway) and completely shut out of WS both those years.

    When will they let us know about the lottery winners? If I remember correctly some folks didn't get notification until the evening before the pre-sale.

    The first drawing is 9/14, so you would think they should let you know by 9/15. The Nationals already had their presale yesterday. Full season holders had extra dibs on up to 4 tickets (total) to any NLDS or NLCS games. First come first serve

    Re: 2012 Postseason Ticket Pickups

    There was no way I was renewing my full seasons at $28 each (kept Sat plan) given the prices I can pay on SH.

    And when it came down to it, this team is not going anywhere in the playoffs, so instead of shelling out $2700 up front, I even passed on playoffs...I'll pick up single games in the partial presale(s).

    Pitching wins Championship, and the Yanks haven't got enough to make it interesting.

    Doesn't seem like anyone has been notified yet. Last year the presale was also on a Wednesday and winners were only notified that morning. Some people actually missed their advance window because they had no idea they qualified. Randy Levine seems to be too busy hustling to force April suites onto their best paying customers to bother taking care of the other 90% of fans

    Just received the email for the 1pm Pre-sale tomorrow - so I can safely assume that I did not get the prelim-pre-sale.

    Just got the automated phone call reminding me of the Wed 9/19 at 1pm presale as a ticket licensee. Has anyone received an email yet with the link to go to? I have my usual passwords, but we usually need a direct link

    Ditto for me, but I received the email message with a link to the generic front end page for the games.

    Cheers!

    I seem to have the issue every year with getting these emails to my work email that spams them out. If anyone can direct mail me the web link to that page, I would appreciate it. I have my season ticket holder passwords, but just need that direct web link
