He looked great tonight, of the 44 pitches he threw 33 were for strikes. He even picked up a save in the process.

It was his first save since 2001. Two of the last three times a Yankee pitched at least 4 innings and finished a game he didn't start it was the pitcher's first game with the Yankees. The previous two times were Noesi including his MLB debut.

I get it.......... but, he did get it done and saved our pen tonight. We have seen many instances when others could not do this and our pen had to throw 2-3 innings.

Tremendous job by Phelps and Lowe tonight.

That was a lethal lineup they shutdown tonight, about as dangerous a lineup as there is in baseball.

Lowe was sharp tonight and he was dropping that sinker like a bad habit.

His sinker was scary good. I wonder, though, if it would be even more effective if he threw the slider more

I recall only a few to lefties. It's clearly not as good as the sinker, but throwing it more often would make the sinker even more deadly

If he continues throwing like that , a lot of GM's will have non buyers remorse. Cashman has made a lot of great "small" moves like that this year

As strange as it sounds (and believe me it sounds strange) they must keep him. What happens if Nova and Phil keep struggling and Lowe is lights out the rest of the way? Just sayin...they would be forced to start him in the playoffs.

The team will find a way to keep him on the 40 through August.
