While he's not someone to bank on, you can add Abe Almonte to that list.

2-4 2 doubles tonight (not that I'm basing it on tonight, just for the record)

once you hurt your back it's always an issue. but his back has been a constant issue this season. was hoping he would have less issues moving forward with it.

    Interview with Mark Newman

I found this to be really strange:

MA: What was the issue with Ty Hensley's medical reports?

Newman: Hensley...you ought to talk to them about that, I'm not going to get into it other than his agent talked about stuff, and we don't...he hasn't had any problems. We're treating him like a regular pitcher. That's something you need to talk to them about.

It's very likely a HIPAA response, which would make it not at all strange.

My thought as well, and I suspect because it's more of a congenital thing and not an injury

Health is his biggest obstacle. I thought they were going to keep him strictly at DH b/c of that, but he's back in the field. Fingers crossed.

he was always one to watch. he just needs to stay healthy. kinda funny that the year in which the rest of the top prospects have injury issues that he starts to come on in a nice way.

Nice debut for Corey Black in Charleston last night.

6 IP, 2 runs, 4 hits, 1 BB, 5 Ks. Wonder what his velocity was. Kid has hit the 100mph mark a couple of times at SI

Re: August 2012 Minor League Thread

Pedro Feliciano made his first appearance in almost 2 years for the GCL team this morning in the first game of a DH. Pitched the first inning, striking out the side and allowing a walk. Yanks may yet get something out of him before the season ends.

Whatever it was, I'll predict that, if he ever makes the Yankees, he'll top out at 5 mph less in his first appearance
