    Bill Dickey struck out 289 times; 17 seasons.

    Yogi Berra struck out 414 times; 18 seasons.

    Just for the record: Joe Sewell; 14 seasons (three with the Yankees) only struck out an incredible 114 times!!

    Yeah, and the pitchers that they were facing also built train stations, slept on i-beams, and waited in line for soup between starts.
