Re: 2012 Non-Yankee Trade Rumors/Discussion Thread
I blame The Boys of Summer, which really established the Dodger mythology, laying it on so thick it was nauseating. They didn't become a good franchise until after WWII, though they wo occasionally before then, but were more often a terrible organization.
At best, the Dodgers are the third-best franchise in NL history, after the Giants and the Cardinals.A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.- Barry Manilow

Re: 2012 Non-Yankee Trade Rumors/Discussion Thread
Looks like a good trade for both sides at first glance. Angels get an established MLB ace, and the Brewers get 3 true prospects (a middle of the diamond multi-talented guy and two power arms), all legitimately established at AA or above.
Angels "win" in my view because they get the established ace, and that's invaluable in today's market, but the Brewers definitely got a top-of-the-market return here, especially considering what Greinke will cost at the end of the season.Mo' Nut: One Smoove Brotha.

Remember when nobody wanted to trade D-Rob for Trumbo in the offseason? Ah, memories.
