He might care more about Jackie Robinson than Yankee championships. Just sayin.

I don't think that's what he meant..he kept saying history and a direct link to our fans whatever that means.

The Dodgers are not even the best franchise in NL history.

I blame The Boys of Summer, which really established the Dodger mythology, laying it on so thick it was nauseating. They didn't become a good franchise until after WWII, though they wo occasionally before then, but were more often a terrible organization.

At best, the Dodgers are the third-best franchise in NL history, after the Giants and the Cardinals.

Until 2010, the Giants had the reverse problem: a glorious past and irrelevance in recent years.

I don't know until recently the Giants haven't done much for almost 45 years.

Who would have seen that before the year started? This can be the year we are happy we didn't get Haren. Maybe we'll see how Greinke does in a larger market, during a playoff race.

The Cardinals are only behind the Yankees. Too many different eras of having good teams over the last 80 or so years.

Looks like a good trade for both sides at first glance. Angels get an established MLB ace, and the Brewers get 3 true prospects (a middle of the diamond multi-talented guy and two power arms), all legitimately established at AA or above.

Angels "win" in my view because they get the established ace, and that's invaluable in today's market, but the Brewers definitely got a top-of-the-market return here, especially considering what Greinke will cost at the end of the season.

A lot of people compared them to the Phils after they got Wilson, but that was unwarranted as they actually had a legit offensive weapon in Pujols. Then Trout showed up and Trumbo turned into a god.

Remember when nobody wanted to trade D-Rob for Trumbo in the offseason? Ah, memories.

Where would Trumbo have even played unless he can play Right Field?

Edit: I seriously don't watch the Angels at all. I seriously had no idea he actually was playing Right Field
