2012 Home Run Derby -- Game Thread

Okay - I'm not a big fan of this event and don't always watch it..but with my Robinson participating, I'll be watching.

Anyone else going to follow along? I know we don't have Ortiz to make fun of but I'm sure there will be something of interest.

well, Ortiz turned down Robinson's invitation after Cano did it for his team last year...he's a douche.

apparently the KC crown booed Cano for not picking Butler. whatever...

Robbie is the only one getting booed. Jealousy is so funny.

Apparently they are pissed because he didn't pick Billy Butler to hit for the AL team. Eff them.

I'm already annoyed with Berman..does he not understand the concept of a microphone that he doesn't need to yell to be heard? he was losing his voice and breath already...yikes.

i would have thought that too if i didn't hear Karl Ravich say he was booed earlier and why...we're sort of used to Yankees getting booed anyway.

I have the HR Derby on in the background as it's the closest thing to real baseball that we're going to see for the next few days.

I love the Zac Brown Band.
Zac was wearing a Braves cap. They're Georgia boys. I was actually surprised to see two of the guys in the band wearing AL jerseys.

His schtick got old a long time ago.

Silly question but I want to know why Pedro Gomez interviewed Robbie in English and then switched to Spanish for his dad? Jose speaks even better English than Robbie does!

I'm surprised he chose to and his team was okay with him doing this - he's kind of fragile.

I like it too and i don't mind him in this competition - i'll go back to hating him on friday.

francona picked joey bats to win..i think RSN would lose a few members to heart attack if he picked Robinson.
