This doesn't have much to do with his performance this year, but why did the Yanks let go of Jose Quintana? His numbers were fairly good and he his stuff seems fine (unless he gained velocity with the Sox).

The Sox guaranteed him a spot on the 40, the Yankees didn't want to do that.

For all the lefty LOOGYs on the roster, it never made much sense to me.

Plus I'm sure that there were other scrubs/undeserving players on the 40 Man during the time the decision had to be made. This non-move made absolutely no sense to me either.
