He's staying in the DR this season dealing with family issues.

As a 33rd round pick, the Yankees would probably be thrilled if he gets as far as Shelley Duncan.

I hope he sees the Riverdogs as his team now and steps it up. I know Gamel is having a good season, but I'd like to see Bichette take the bull by the horns like he did with the GCL last year. Still a fun team to watch when Gumbs comes back.

He's been excellent all season. His star seemed to dim considerably last year, but he's coming round.

Ramon Flores 3-3 and a triple away from the cycle.

Adding these numbers to the numbers since the ASB that Jax posted the other day and you can see this dude is absolutely beasting it right now.

He's with the Yankees so long that I totally forget he's still only 20 years old.

I always look at it as a good sign when a young guy goes back down and dominates. I look forward to seeing him in the Bronx later this year.

hopefully it will have the same effect as the time they sent down Nova, only to see him get a 10K game. everyone was like "where did the Ks come from?" and he has been getting more Ks at the MLB level ever since

I don't know about this most recent minor league outing, but in Phelps' last start for the Yankees (when he fanned 8 in 4 1/3 innings) he got 6 of them via the fastball. I'm not sure the velocity or movement have really changed that much, but maybe his location has just been much better.

He also got a lot of strike calls with his curve and slider. His pitch breakdown is below.

Refsnyder is joining the Charleston Riverdogs. I don't remember a player drafted by the Yankees, reporting directly to a full season team, the same year he was drafted. Not directly without getting promoted from a short season club. Can anybody remember otherwise? What it tells me is that they think he is an advanced hitter.
