Holy crap, the one thing that could beat me this week is a Special Teams score by the Jets, and there one goes. Good God.

So MJD played what? 45 seconds for me after I traded for him before going down for the year?

Re: 2012 NYYFAN Fantasy Football League
I actually felt bad and couldn't believe it myself when I heard what happened on Sunday. My first thought was only you -- isn't this, like, the third year in a row involving players you traded?
I am now convinced the power of The Snatch Curse blows The Madden Cover Jinx away and makes it look like a mild coincidence. You're worse than Cousin Oliver from The Brady Bunch...Lol

Re: 2012 NYYFAN Fantasy Football League
I picked up Kurt Coleman this AM with the intent of replacing injured Tyvon Branch using the Android CBS app. It made the pick up, but didn't take the lineup correction.
Given the time I made the transaction (and my previous post) I was obviously working on my lineup this AM.
Can I have the correction made?

Re: 2012 NYYFAN Fantasy Football League
Earlier post didn't go through (network crapped out), so let's try this much needed update again...
One playoff spot left, with Killer B's & OxDynasty (both 7-6) playing for the Landry Division title and the #3 seed. Bag's Groove (also 7-6) has been the hottest year down the stretch, but misses out on the tiebreak; head-to-head is 1-1 with both, so it goes to Division Record.
Everything else is basically locked in -- there might be some changes in seeding, but each bracket is pretty much set. I haven't been checking in on the site as much as I'd like, especially since I'm on the phone mostly, but I WILL post my traditional playoff preview with bracket breakdown in detail after everything is settled. And, of course, all matchups will be set on CBS.

Re: 2012 NYYFAN Fantasy Football League
Hijacking the thread if you'll allow me a moment......
The plan last week was to start a 4-day weekend on Friday after being at work til 3am and asleep after 4. Wake up in the morning, have a little breakfast and slap the playoff preview on the board, just like I've done in years past. Then, the Hellmouth opened and changed everything. Didn't have the time to post, and quite honestly, wasn't even really in the mood to make one. In my line of work, it's pretty much a job hazard to bring your work home with you; you'll drive yourself crazy. I've always been pretty good about distancing myself from situations, but I can't even begin to explain how surreal it is when something of this magnitude happens right in your backyard, literally two towns away. Doing what I do, I've learned to soak up every second of family time I can, cuz you just never know. If there's anything to take from all of this, remember to ALWAYS take that extra second with your loved ones -- kids, wife, girlfriend, parents, whatever.... no one is safe from the unthinkable.
Rant over. Life still goes on, so thanks for letting me vent a little.
Now back to our regular scheduled program...

Re: 2012 NYYFAN Fantasy Football League
So, after 15 weeks of ups & downs, highs & lows and everything in between, we're down to one final game.
Whatever is at stake for you this week, GOOD LUCK and enjoy the long holiday weekend!!
Championship Bracket
NYYFFFL Bowl X
#3 OxDynasty vs #4 Coples' Brand Awareness
The OD returns to the Bowl for the third year in a row and tries to be the first franchise to win back-to-back championships. Meanwhile, Coples can be the second Wild Card team in a row to win the title and would like nothing more than to make up for the getting the short end of the only trade this season (Julio Jones/Maurice Jones-Drew). At stake is the Pete Cheng Trophy and the 12th pick in next year's draft. Runner-up will have all offseason to think about what might've been and the #11.
#1 Lindell's Wide Rights vs #2 Bad Things Man
One of the best regular seasons in League History (12-2) ends in a stunning upset for Lindell, quite possibly the best franchise to not yet win a title. Bad Things can complete a successful return to The League with a win and claim the #9 pick.
Pride Bracket
#6 Impact Litigators vs #8 Vilma The Bounty Hunter
Another end-of-season run has given the LITs a shot at winning the bracket and next year's #5 pick for the second year in a row. With a win, Vilma can show just how quickly he's grown up by capping off a rookie season even better than Luck, RG3 and Russell Wilson COMBINED.
#5 Bag's Groove vs #7 Killer B's
The rubber match of Landry Division rivals will decide the #7 pick.
Draft Bracket
#9 Cantstandya! vs #10 Rancid Raiders
Once again, it's a Father/Son matchup in the final week of the season. Rancid can wipe out a 0-9 finish by winning the rematch and earning the 2013 #1 Overall Pick.
#11 OMG I Suck vs #12 Fumbling Drunkards
It's been a season to forget for two-time champ The Drunks, while OMG survived an 0-8 start to finish 4-2. Winner will rebuild with next year's #3.

Re: 2012 NYYFAN Fantasy Football League
Thanks, guys. It was neat to finally win, and I took extra pride in putting up the highest weekly point total that week (I have always hated the randomness/silliness of "match ups" in H2H leagues, but yes, it's unavoidable).
It was also pretty awesome to take out the OD, who I just KNOW thought he was going to win. Especially since I effectively gave him Julio Jones for free in the middle of the year.
