Good luck Adam Warren.
It's not the 27 World Championships that drive the New York Yankees. It's the 28th.
Every year is The Year. Go Yankees.

Yup. If Phelps were stretched out, it would be him. Either way, we're fortunate that we have Phelps and Warren that CAN start at this level.

Re: 2012 Adam Warren Performance Thread
I wonder how Ortiz feels about this. He can't be too pleased that he, as a vet, is getting passed over. However, Ortiz just pitched (yesterday) and can't be ready for Friday. Since Freddy also pitched yesterday, he will go Monday instead of calling up Ortiz. Warren pitched on Sunday so he is available for Friday. Phelps is not yet stretched out. Only other choice for Friday, besides Warren, is tonight's starter, Nelson Figueroa
. No thanks.

Re: 2012 Adam Warren Performance Thread
Just hoping for 6 decent innings, bullpen can handle the rest. Though expecting 4.2 with a lead
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

Re: 2012 Adam Warren Performance Thread
ahh, I missed that one too because I don't go in there much except to read on occasion. Too funny...I figured he was here somewhere.

Looking forward to seeing Warren pitch tonight..wish it was under different circumstances but I always like to see how pitchers come up and handle it...hope the bats are ready for some support.

I'm happy for him. Always think that he can be a solid 4/5 starter.

Re: 2012 Adam Warren Performance Thread
Somewhere in a pub in Ireland, JVIS just slammed down a glass of ale in jubilation.
That being said, what the hell are they doing with Phelps anyways? His mL numbers are better, and after being tossed in the pen (where he actually pitcher relatively well) they proceeded to not use him for two weeks, then sent him back down only to pull him out of both starts before the 4th inning.

Poor kid. Hopefully this doesnt scar him too much for whatever he does long term.
