The Wave ?? At Yankee Stadium ??

I'm not a fan of the wave at all..I don't like seeing it at Yankee Stadium because I don't like it but realize others do so if it makes a kid happy, go for it. As long as they don't expect me to do it or ridicule me for not participating. I've actually seen this get ugly once...

I like other things they do at the Stadium like "guess the baby bomber" and I'm sure others don't like that..I hope there's something there for everyone and the things you don't like, don't get in the way of you having a good time...it certaintly doesn't for me especially since I've usually spent a lot of money to be there.

See this is a growing problem in society. Apathy towards important things that need a harsh stance. First the right way to eat pizza and then this wishy-washy feeling about the wave. Quit being so damn PC. Take a stand, do the right thing. Things need to change around here.

I can't believe what I just saw !!! Now, don't get me wrong... I have a respectful but, very strong dislike of Red Sox Nation... but on Friday night's game... I saw the wave at Fenway Park... this idiodicy is getting out of hand now..., Well..., at least Vulvazelas are banned at YS..., otherwise someone might have got one shoved far up their ass... I swear to you.... sometimes I feel as if I were born in the wrong time period...., We need to start an Anti-Wave Campaign..., TV commercials, YouTube commercials, PSAs, Full Page Newspaper ads, etc. ..., WHO'S WITH ME !!!! In other ideas... one thing I am all for is: Yankee Cheer/Squad/Dance Girls ... take some of NYC's hottest, most talented young ladies & put together a 1st rate Dance/Cheer Squad...

Part of the difference has to do with the fans sitting around the dugouts. Another difference they don't mention, though, is that in the old Stadium the upper deck hung right over the field. There were many, many more fans sitting in close than there are now.

Yep and with the upper deck having that open concourse the voices get carried off with the wind.

That's what I miss most about the old stadium. You see more of the corners of the outfield from the upper deck this way, but I really liked the overhang.

It's the wave. It looks stupid, but if people like it, then deal with it. It's not like they're pissing in your church. I don't understand all the hate and vitriol towards it.
