Francisco calls Yankees "a bunch of chickens"
http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/mets/...=SFnewyorkpost
I guess if you get swept, that makes you a bunch of turkeys, then?“I can’t wait to face those chickens,” Mets closer Frank Francisco told The Post when asked about playing the Yankees in this weekend’s Subway Series at Citi Field.
For the record:In 25 career games against the Yankees, Francisco boasts a 3.29, but has more blown saves (3) than he has recorded saves (2). He's also allowed 34 base runners in 27.1 innings, and has given up four HRs. (From www.sportsmedia101.com)

When I first seen this I was thinking, "Why in the world would Cervelli say that?"

Guess he's trying to put a bit of a spark somewhere, huh? I wonder what else could have prompted this. Was he kidding? I'd love to know the context. Or is it exactly what it appears?

Re: Francisco calls Yankees "a bunch of chickens"
Why say something this stupid when the Yanks didnt do anything but sweep them the last time. I love it, incite the Yanks and hopefully they can beat the crap out of the Mets again.

Francisco should shut up and sit down -- oh that's right; he can't. He doesn't have a chair.
Oh man....

The Yankees showed real cowardice in sweeping them a couple weeks ago.

Re: Francisco calls Yankees "a bunch of chickens"
If I remember correctly, the "poor" woman pictured in that photo and her husband were heckling Doug Brocail about his stillborn child. Doesn't make what Francisco did right, I'm just saying that there were multiple pieces of trash involved in addition to Franky Frank.

No chicken in our clubhouse. Best check up north in the Massachusetts area if that's what he's looking for.
Then again, if were a bunch of chickens, and they're a bunch of chokers, I'm not so sure I want to be around for what ensues.Chuck Norris once took a piss in someone's gas tank. That car is known today as Optimus Prime.

I saw parts of Girardi's pre-game press conference. Jason Zillo told Girardi that three different chicken companies have called his office with sponsorship opportunities for the Subway Series.

From earlier today:
You know it's somewhat of a ridiculous situation when it causes Soriano of all people to crack a joke.

bunch of chickens who swept them a few series ago
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes
