He can hit lefties but I think he would have problems facing righties on a regular basis. He pretty much just sits fastball.

As does the fact he's simply not good enough to start everyday and no one in baseball thinks otherwise.

I am concerned that Andruw is a lollygagger. He lollygaggs to first. He lollygags in left. For example, Tex is much slower but Tex beats out a double play. On the same type of grounder Jones is apt to lollygag. I would prefer if he did not lollygag.

If he wasn't a lollygagger, he'd still be an all star, gold glove CFer on some other team. We are actually lucky he has fallen into his lollygagging ways.

Agree. Had this guy worked liked Jeter or Alex over the last decade, he'd be considered one of the all time great and discussed alongside the very elite of the game. He'd have picked up an insane amount of money, hit 550 home runs and won 13 gold gloves.

    We're really not mocking you.

It's what Andruw Jones is. A supremely talented underachiever who's made it no secret he doesn't care about becoming an all time great or the highest paid player in MLB.

He just likes to play the game... making a couple millions while he's at it.

Not at all mocking you. I'm just saying that he wouldn't be a Yankee if he wasn't a lollygagger.

I'd attribute a good portion of his downfall to his discontinuing using "the cream" and "flaxseed." Before and after pics tell the story. And yeah, he does appear to lollygag out there as well.

Dogging it in the outfield again. The problem is he doesn't care if he sits. He probably prefers it. So it's not like you can bench him.

Just remember, when he cares to, he still plays GG calibre defense (see the games at Fenway)

Come play off time, that can be really useful.

I hope he does it again, so that we stick him where he benefits the team best.....RH DH/PH.

Quite frankly, I wish he would pull a Crawford and tell Joe he can't play b/c the medical staff said no.

It's a little out of context, but Crawford didn't play Saturday because he told Bobby V no, the medical staff said I can't.

I read that Crawford wanted to play and disagreed with the medical staff who didn't want him to.

Yeah, that's what I heard. Crawford wanted to play but the medical staff said "no".
