    2012 Staten Island Yankees

Hey guys, it has been a while since I posted here but with the Staten Island Yankees season almost here I figure I will start a thread about the team.

Also, I wanted to say that though I am working a full-time job outside of sports now I plan on returning in 2013 to cover the Staten Island Yankees beat. I am working on launching a new website that will provide coverage of the entire Yankees farm system. I am shooting for a Feb 2013 launch.

Good luck to you on that future endeavor.
Fire Cashman, but Hal Steinbrenner is the root of Yankee woes.

Whenever you launch your site, you will have at least one guy who will bookmark it immediately.

Can't wait. Will miss your coverage of the SI Yankees in 2012 though.

Thanks guys, I will be keeping up via Twitter this season so be sure to check there for updates.

As for the launch of the new site, it might be sooner depending on if I can raise enough capital in time to cover the costs.

Right now the plan is to launch the website and mobile apps all at the same time. I just finished setting up the layout for the app and just need to get the website up and running so I can link the two.

    Just a quick poll:

What type of phone do you guys use?
So I don't waste time and money on an app for a platform I don't need to.

    Android. Only platform worth having.
40 pitchers, ever, have an ERA+ of 130 or higher for their career. 15 have 140 or higher. 3 guys have 150 or higher - one is right at 150, the second place guy is at 154, and Mariano Rivera is at 205.

Nice game to watch. Santana looked good out there. This fellow Cayones, who was acquired from the Pirates in the AJ deal can fly. Has a nice arm too. Threw out a guy trying to stretch a double into a triple. Nice relay to rosadaro at 2nd, to Duran at 3rd.

Duran looks shaky at 3rd, air-mailing a throw to first. I think he was charged with 2 errors, but everything hit to him was an adventure. Morton looked good all game, even getting out of a bases loaded one - out jam in the 4th.

Pazos could not find the strike zone in the 8th, basically costing us the game.

I got some good news, I should be able to launch the website by this weekend. The web address will be www.pinstripedprospects.net.

I am working on a few bugs now but will be ironing them out quickly.

Went to the game too. Agree about Cayones. Liked what I saw. Morton looked really good. Santana was moving around pretty well too for having suffered such a serious ankle injury
