Tied with Koufax for most Ks in a perfect game.
It was so cool to see Righetti's delight for Cain.

Seems like no-no's and perfect games are becoming an everyday occurrence in the post-steroid era (assuming we're actually out of it).

Missed the last 3 outs while I was smoking a cigarette
Congrats to Matt Cain. That catch was outrageous too!

We were watching it at our weekly poker game. Awesome stuff. Hell of a game, although there was one called strike that should be reviewed and was only called cuz the ump is human and wanted to see a perfect game.
It's tainted like Johan's.

His game score of 101 is the best since Kerry Wood struck out 20 on May 6, 1998 and had a game score of 105.

congrats to Cain
The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

After the Yankees game went off i immediately turned to the Giants/Astros game & watched it until the very end. Congratulations to Matt Cain, the Giants as well as their fans.

Amazing that the Giants in their long wonderful history never had a perfect game. Congratulations.

Re: Matt Cain Threw A Perfect Game While You Were Sleeping.
We were just discussing on another thread last week about how there always seems to be one play that saves a no-hitter or perfecto and this was definitely one of the best I've ever seen. Love the tip of the cap to Blanco as he was leaving the mound.

Congrats to Cain and the Giants. I only wish I'd been able to watch it. I did see Koufax's 14K perfecto, so I've got an idea of what it must have been like.September 28, 2008 - the day the HOF got a wake-up Moose call.

Re: Matt Cain Threw A Perfect Game While You Were Sleeping.
You always need a great play or 3 to get a no hitter. The ball is just going to find holes in nearly every game that's why it's so hard. Or at least it used to be hard. Seems like we have a no hitter every other day now.

Re: Matt Cain Threw A Perfect Game While You Were Sleeping.
It seems they come in bunches the past few years. Plus they always come early in the year before it gets real hot. Was it last year that a-hole on Oakland got one, then Halladay, then the Gallaraga non-perfecto all in a month?
This year there's been 5 no-hitters, with 2 of them being perfect games.

Re: Matt Cain Threw A Perfect Game While You Were Sleeping.
Yeah, well I threw a perfect game with Lester in MVP 2005 last night, striking out 14, and I've yet to get any credit for it. Even my friends, who I texted just past 1AM this morning, have yet to shower me with adulation.
That was my THIRD perfect game on this save file alone! Matt Cain does it, just this one time, and all of a sudden it's a huge deal. This is bull.................
