I usually get suckered into watching those demos too. I usually try to avoid them when Shannen is with me. She wants to buy everything they are selling.

I have no intention of buying whatever it happens to be. I just get a kick out of watching the demonstrations. It's like bad live tv.

So, my hubby was outside working on his truck and he came in the house and said "you have to come out here. You will never believe who is here".

So I wrnt outside and couldn't believe it. It was one of our old friends my hubby used to work with. I think the last time we saw him was probably 12 years ago. He (and a couple of other guys they worked with at the time) helped us move into this house, helped build our shed and were here for more than a couple BBQ's. But after the company changed hands, everyone went their separate ways.

He still works in the same industry, just for a different company and was on the road, in the area and took a chance that we still lived here. Wow! Blast from the past!!

He had to get back to work. But we exchanged numbers and hope to see him and his wife soon.

I didn't get much done today. I am much more productive on the weekdays.


Hubby, however, is changing a broken brake line in his box truck. It's best for me to just stay out of his way. He's not having much fun.

Yeah, it was really cool. I recognized him right away, thank goodness. I told my hubby he's lucky Mark looks the same. It would have been really awkward had I not known who he was.

Actually, that's who I thought it might have been, too (his name is John also). But I think the reaction would have been different. I could kind of tell from his tone that it was someone else.
