The Sally League all-star break starts Monday thru Wednesday. I suspect a player move or two might happen soon afterwards.

    I thought the same.

SI and GCL will fill the void those few days.

Higashioka promoted to Trenton. Precursor to Sanchez moving up I would assume.

Their backup catcher is hurt and they needed another catcher. Higashioka can't hit, but is a very good defensive catcher.

Nice interview. Was really hoping that Chris Cabrera would pitching stateside this year, but he is just coming back from innjury so I guess they decided to keep him there for a while. Another young arm who is intriguing is 17 year old Dallas Martinez, who's FB already gets up to 93mph.

Where are you seeing that? I can't find any progress updates.

It's under "scores" then go to "Rookie" then scroll all the way down. GCL games are there.

Why stunt his development when the could call up one of the other Tampa catchers who can hit like Tyson Blaser?

I think his bat is stunted no matter where he is.
