It was his first game back. He probably had nothing.

GCL Yankees came all the way back from the 5-0 deficit to win 6-5.

For some reason, I think he will do fine. At least, I hope so. I am worried about Freddy the 2nd time through the order though. Also, when was the last time Freddy threw 80 pitches - back in April? I wonder how long he can last. He can't be all stretched out for a long appearance. Girardi needs to really manage the 'pen the next 11 games until the break. Better get a real long man up here soon.

hitters are doing better than pitchers this year.

    Too many injuries:
    Manny
    Campos
    Stoneburner
    Camarena

    Ineffectiveness: betances

Only pitchers doing well or reasonably well are
    Bryan Mitchell
    Turley
    Tracy

at least the relievers are doing well sort of

Based on Cashman's comments this afternoon on Kay's show, I expect Phelps will be up this weekend. He was schedule for 75 pitches his next time out so he'll be the long man at least through this weekend.
Please fire Cashman, so some Yankee fans can have hope again.

He won't be the only 2012 draftee going to Charleston. I expect a couple of well seasoned College hitters to be in Charleston this summer too which will tie into some other promotions to Tampa and Trenton.

I went to th SI game Yesterday and came away with 3 things . Saxton hits every thing hard but he needs to polish up a bit at 1st or he's a future DH,Dugas is real short but has pop ,bat speed and goes to the plate with a plan.Santana miss played almost every ball hit to him but seems to have a quick bat.

Well, they can't keep him in Tampa if we want Sanchez getting most of the reps at catcher. Furthermore, he had a .855 OPS in June so perhaps he's ready for another challenge.

That might be what he needs. Change of pace and stadiums. I just wish Montogomery got bumped up too. I guess maybe pitching promotions will be coming up soon.
