Of course it's their view that matters. Nothing we think matters to the Yankees. If the Yankees feel that they've seen enough in those few starts, that seems pretty short sighted.

I think they could definitely use a pitcher of high quality. I'm not sure Dempster really qualifies for that though. He's more a 3 in the AL in my mind at best.

They also need a bat but I don't see that getting done either.

I think that the Yankees have been short-sighted in their use of him. For whatever reason, it's like they don't completely trust what they see in him. To me, he should have a bigger role on this team and that role should have started months ago.

Yeah, I agree. I guess I just don't see it as a head-scratcher if they're acquiring a rock-solid starting arm (in terms of his durability) considering the current makeup of their staff.

This year, there are no moves that absolutely must be made outside of maybe upgrading the utility infielder spot. Then again, that depends on who you ask.

I agree. Hate to say it, but (considering only realistic deals) this is a roster that can't really be improved in any significant way. Unless Cashman pulls off a very surprising late move, it's going to be all about holding our breath for injured players to return.
