MLB Network isn't that bad.

The Twins GM who traded Hardy and Ramos is a different guy than who's there now. That was Bill Smith, the new Twins GM is Terry Ryan, the guy who built the good Twins teams of the 00s.
Smith got fired after last year.

Flowers has not shown this OBP and pop in the ML - in 82 games, his line is .184/.294/.338/.632 - admittedly, he has not played regularly in the ML.
His AAA numbers are significantly better, but I have to wonder if he would translate.
More importantly, would he be an upgrade from what we have now?Forgive me for taking the Contrarian view

I saw giancarlo stanton could be shopped. Nova, Sanchez, Williams, Austin and Whitely for Stanton and a small prospect who is a throw in so it's not just all of those guys for one player.

i think davidoff mentioned of players who could fit
will venable, padres. not tearing it up, but i could see him benefiting a ton from YS and Klong. cheap, under control, padres would probably keep him though.

Yea as far as I'm concerned I'd give the Marlins basically whatever they want for Stanton. The only question is do we have enough to give to make the deal work on their end.
Ultimately I highly doubt it would happen. They'd be fools to deal Stanton he is exactly the type of player you build a young team around. If they're going to deal a big name it should probably be Hanley.

Oh yeah. But, MLB Network has a lot more space to fill. E!SPN can go from sport to sport, whereas MLB Network has one job. And, considering how well they do, I don't mind the filler.

No one is untouchable when it comes to talent like Stanton. You get Pineda back next year or sign Hamels and still have a rotation of CC/Hamels/Pineda/Hughes + Kuroda/Pettitte.

Good lord I hope this isn't true. I want to see the Sox paying Crawford for the next 5 years.Chuck Norris once took a piss in someone's gas tank. That car is known today as Optimus Prime.
