yeah, that's just ridiculous. he's been pretty good, obviously he didn't have it today. more to the point, he was misused by Girardi, who kept him in despite throwing junk so he could face a good LH batter (murphy) with reverse splits.

I imagine Eppley gets the axe when Feliciano returns, so he's probably safe for now.

Fair points -- he's been solid in stretches but it's been a pretty uneven year. That said, he's our #1 lefty for the time being for the forseeable future. And of course, it doesn't help when he's left in with poor stuff to face RHBs and a good lefty w reverse splits !!

When is Feliciano due back ?? Also, is Aardsma still a possibility ?? (hey, maybe Phil will be come October).

I doubt they'd carry 3 lefties on a regular roster -- Feliciano probably won't be brought up till rosters expand, so no one will probably be cut when he returns

In hindsight, why give in to Span anyways? You have first open. The guy is an excellent contact hitter and you lay a meatball over the plate for him to win the game on. Should have started over with Revere.

Just bad all around. So much suck from everybody. Would have been nice to go to sleep with a 3 game lead, but no.

I hope Hughes got a running start to soccer kick you in the shins.
