The Official Please Clarify The Rules Thread

OK, so I am very confused on several things with this board and wanted to know if there is a link or perhaps in somebody may answer and sticky this.

1) I do not know why I cannot:
-Start a thread, PM, have a Jpeg in my signature, and have no post count

2) I do not know how long I need to be here or how many posts I need to have these privileges

3) I also do not know why I have no post count and where posts are counted.


Can somebody please clarify and perhaps sticky which I am sure are FAQ's.

As to why you can't start a thread/PM etc. Right away- this 'policy' was established to avoid spammers/spambots from just joining and then spamming the board. You'll be able to start a thread or send PM's after a certain number of posts (I think it's 50?) AND being a member here for 6 months. I could be mistaken on # of posts and timeframe but it's around there. The FAQs have that info in there( I'm using mobile right now so I can't look it up right away)

Posts do not count in Game threads or the Post Count party In just conversation. This was originally put in place to have more quality posts than quantity posts. Your current post count is 14 ( you can click your username and the About Me Tab will have that info).

No prob - took me awhile to find it but it's pretty thorough so he/she should have questions answered!

I understand the need to eliminate spammers and appreciate that you want to place restrictions on newbies because of it. But it seems that 6 months is a bit extreme, IMO.
I say that totally out of respect for the Admins here as I have had the opportunity to be one on other boards.
