Josh Hamilton
Considering what he's been doing lately I thought he needs his own thread.
Not only is he on pace for a triple crown, but he's doing it in his walk year.[FONT=Franklin Gothic Medium]We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are.

Re: Josh Hamilton
Can't imagine Nolan Ryan & Co. letting him walk. Think he stays put.
He'll never get another milestone like that one. So what? His whole career is a milestone.

Re: Josh Hamilton
They will offer him an extention. Question is for how much, for how long, and will he accept?
His agent isn't Scott Boras so who knows?
Here's another viewpoint:

Re: Josh Hamilton
They actually said something intelligent on BBTN yesterday. The off-the-field stuff is going to be almost as important as the contract for him. He has a solid support group there with the Rangers. The guys all understand how important it is for him to feel comfortable - drinking ginger ale instead of alcoholic beverages, for instance. I'm not saying that if he were to sign with another team he wouldn't get that same type of support, but it's the unknown factor until he gets there. One franchise he needs to avoid is Boston. Valentine is enough to make anybody drink.

Re: Josh Hamilton
You know it's such a shame he's had all the missed time in his career due to his off the field issues. I really would love to know where he'd be now without it. Such an awesome talent. If he stays healthy he's one of the most dangerous hitters in the entire game.

Re: Josh Hamilton
This guy may have a drinking problem but he was sure Andrus's Designated Driver last night.
THANK You I'll be here all week.
Anyways, I for one love this guy. He is a very gifted player with a very gifted career. And here's the sad part, It could have even been more Gifted if it weren't for his demons. His Drug addiction/Alcohol addiction/ injuries ruined his career. There is no question that this guy is gifted. I just think he could have been something a whole lot more if it weren't for his addictions. Something tells me Hamilton stays put. As well as he should. I really don't want to see him play for another team.Still and will always be a New England Patriots fan.

I just can't imagine if this guy were sober from the get-go what his lifetime stats would look like by now.
