I have 5 minor league players on my team.
Randall Delgado is in the Braves rotation right now.
I have NOT promoted him, he is still in my minors.
He will undoubtedly break the 50 IP mark.
I can still stash him the entire season.
Under the current rules, if I were to keep him next year I would have to use a typical MAJOR LEAGUE keep. One of my 5.
With this potential new option, I get to use a MAJOR LEAGUE keep on him. I would have to promote him next year to my MAJOR LEAGUE team. I would still have 5 MAJOR LEAGUE KEEPS to use on 5 other players that I choose, giving me 6 overall.

That is the bare bones way of explaining this, I'm not sure I can do it any other way.

Okay, I think I get it. I don't like it. I'm going with the 6 ML keepers to use any which way.

Seriously though, can we get another poll for an additional DL slot? I even have no problem if we want to make the requirement that the last DL spot can only be used by a player who has been on a roster for at least two scoring periods (not claimed off waivers).

I've had to waive some injured folks and currently have Morneau on my bench because I'm out of spots.

Shouldn't 11 be enough? The 65% passed on the previous poll, for this one we should only need majority, considering one of the two will be implemented anyway.

So - am I correct that at the beginning of 2013, we'll have 6 major-league keepers, and 5 minor-league keepers (since we can't currently have more than 5 minor-league players anyway, and so won't have more than 5 at the start of next year)? Then, from 2014 onwards, it will be 6 and 6, presumably.
