I loved how it all looked when they faded to B&W. The morphing from old stills of the Park into to current pictures was very cool too. Made me wish the Yankees had stayed in OYS and did a retro-upgrade.

yup the uniforms were awesome, though the Yankees arent really a franchise into wearing retros. Too bad cause would be nice to wear some retro pinstripes or retro Highlanders gear.

and yes the old jerseys were made of wool. I have the 1929 Babe Ruth Mitchell and Ness replica authentic, I can only wear it in April/May cause it is horrible to wear in the summer heat. 3/4 sleeves and wool dont mix good in the summer

Last time they wore retros/throwbacks/Turn back the clock uniforms was in 1996 @ Detroit when the Yankees wore Negro League Black yankees uniforms.

Even the Red Sox were smart enough to keep their stadium. The Yankees sold out.

the next time you are in Fenway count the number of rats (the four legged kind) you run across. You'll need more than the toes and fingers of your and your girl friends hands and feet. The Red sox suffer because their parks capacity is only in the 30,000 + area and they will never get the income of a team with a 50-60,000 capacity stadium

Only 3 teams have a seating capacity of 50,000 or more. If you count standing room it jumps to 6 teams with Dodger stadium 57,000 the leader. Most teams are in the 40,000 range and 7 teams including the Red Sox are under 40,000 seating capacity.

The uniform looked great. I ordered the jersey and hat. The Yankees doing it one and done though is the right choice, although I wouldn't mind seeing those striped stirrups become part of the regular uniform.
