I suspect he was called up to eat innings if Hughes doesn't go deep into the game but FWIW he's been pitching pretty well in AAA (albeit over a sample size of 6IP): 9/1 K/BB ratio and 0.47 WHIP.

The issue with the Bobby V stuff is that I feel bad for the likes of Lester. He really hasn't done anything wrong (other than superb pitching), and he is getting the shaft of the Bobby V. No, not his genitals. I mean the downside of his antics.

Well - Bobby V shouldn't have any impact on whether Lester fails or succeeds as a human being.

Hopefully it's a short stay...13 pitchers is an extreme drain on the bench... if anything, I'd prefer a late inning defensive replacement for Ibanez, who is a horrible defensive player, and Jones, who appears to be lollygagging out there.

He's not the only bad manager out there. I have never been a fan of the guy as a manager, as an "analyst", etc. He's an ass. I'd prefer he get whacked and replaced by someone else who can pencil in a losing lineup.

That game represented the first time this season someone was wrong about Cody Eppley entering the game in a game won by the Yankees by a 7-6 score. Does anyone know the last time someone was wrong about a new acquisition getting into a game the Yankees won 7-6?

I always like having a mop up guy on the staff. Gives us a free arm that we can just run out there. Of course, yesterday was a little different. Nevertheless, that sidearm approach should kill a few righties when we need to burn some innings. There is also considerable movement one that ball. Suspect lefties won't have aroblem with it.

I agree with just-blaze, 13 pitchers is ridiculous and harms roster flexibility and oh by the way, Eppley SUCKS. Get rid of him and add a poistion player NAO.

I think his sole purpose in 2012 for the Yankees is to ride the Shuttle between AAA and NY. Unless he is lights-out, and there is an injury somewhere.
