Re: The Official 2012 Nick Swisher Performance Thread
Swisher on his decision to fist bump that fan; "Well, hell, he's going to jail. So why not?"

Re: The Official 2012 Nick Swisher Performance Thread
Swisher leading the team in RBIs. Could be an interesting off season if this keeps up. I love the guy...not sure if he's the best option but it will certainly be an interesting negotiation.

Re: The Official 2012 Nick Swisher Performance Thread
Hope he starts walking some more, it's crazy seeing Swish with an OBP in the .320's. Atleast he's still getting his XBH.

Re: The Official 2012 Nick Swisher Performance Thread
Great catch by Swish. For me, it was even better to see him work that bases loaded walk after being down in the count 0-2. Hopefully, he puts up a .900+ OPS for the rest of the season.

Re: The Official 2012 Nick Swisher Performance Thread
With the contract Ethier was given, I'd say it's doubtful Swish will be back on the team next year if they're really serious about the $189 million budget.

Re: The Official 2012 Nick Swisher Performance Thread
those two ABs with the bases juiced last night were just amazingly terrible.

Swisher Q&A with ESPN Playbook:
http://espn.go.com/blog/playbook/fan...-with-playbook
Nothing earth shattering, just typical Swish.
I thought this was pretty funny:
You pitched a scoreless inning in your only major league pitching appearance. Have you considered lobbying Joe Girardi for more opportunities?
There was an opportunity we had this year, and [Dewayne] Wise got that call. We were laughing about it after the game, seeing if there are any other teams in the big leagues that have two outfielders with a combined 0.00 ERA.

DH'ing again today. I hope the injury is not more serious than previously thought.
David Ortiz tested positive for performance enhancing drugs in 2003.

Re: The Official 2012 Nick Swisher Performance Thread
He's hitting it hard so there shouldn't any worry. Plus he's got he OBP up to .349 Which is still low for him but far better than he earlier season rate.
Gonna miss him when he leaves, but at 31, he really shouldn't be someone who we give big deal to - especially given the $189m target.Bring tea for the Tillerman; Steak for the son; Wine for the woman

Re: The Official 2012 Nick Swisher Performance Thread
No bump after the last two games? I know chances are slim that he is a Yankee after this year, but man, I love this guy. I hope he has a monster post season and makes it a really difficult decision.
