Re: 2012 Freddy Garcia performance thread.
Any chance Girardi doesn't pull Garcia from the rotation now?
Pineda with a bum shoulder could maybe get through 2 innings.

Re: 2012 Freddy Garcia performance thread.
can we please stop trotting out the corpse of Freddy Garcia? Call up Betances or Manny B or SOMETHING. can't automatically pencil in a loss every 5th day if we want to contend.

I'm not going to criticize Cashman for trading Burnett because I was all for it at the time, but they are missing him right about now.

Thanks for the smoke and mirrors from last year. You seem a decent fellow. Just please never pitch another game for this team.

Re: 2012 Freddy Garcia performance thread.
I believe Garcia would be the first Yankee pitcher in franchise history to have 3 straight starts of less than 2 innings if he gets another start from Girardi. At least we can see potential history if somehow this guy gets another turn in the rotation.

Re: 2012 Freddy Garcia performance thread.
I think it's time for Freddy to come down w/ a sore shoulder or something so they can DL him and call up DJ Mitchell.

Re: 2012 Freddy Garcia performance thread.
DJ Mitchell!! Garcia's ERA is 13...its not possible for Mitchell to be any worse. His stuff alone is like 10000x better then Garcia's.

Re: 2012 Freddy Garcia performance thread.
It's a shame neither Betances nor Banuelos have stepped up so far this year. This would be an excellent opportunity for either of them to get their first legitimate shot in the majors. As it stands, Mitchell, Warren, or Phelps seem to be the only realistic options.

Re: 2012 Freddy Garcia performance thread.
A not-too-encouraging clue as to Girardi's intentions is the fact he pulled his usual nonsense today re: the long man - that is, not really letting him go very long. If he had really had enough of Garcia you'd like to think he'd let Phelps stretch out for more than 32 pitches with an eye toward the next start.
Might be reading too much into this but I fear we're in for another "joyride" in 5 days.Rocking that "arrogant Yankee fan" attitude.
