Deadwood's one of my favorite towns. However, I don't think pulling out the shirt completely qualifies as an act to attract attention. When with the Rays his teammates did just that, so maybe he's not such a bad dude after all.

He may not look like the most pleasant guy to be around, and maybe he does not smile much, but he sure is doing the job, and that's all one can ask for.

Good job.......... but still don't like the "pulling the jersey out so everyone can see me" stuff. Guess that makes me old .

I'm old too, but for some reason it doesn't bother me. Strangely enough, what bothers me is guys who wear the cap sideways, CC included although his is not as pronounced as some of the others I've seen. Respect the uni. You're getting paid a boatload of money to play a game. You can't put your "attitude" on hold for 3 hours? Running a close second is wearing their pants like pajamas. As long as it the official uni, I guess it doesn't matter. I'm waiting for the first guy to wear the pants half way down the butt.

Back to Soriano - if he has the same look when he's eating a sandwich, I don't care. It's working for him. Some guys take on a whole different personality once they cross the baselines. If he still has that look should the Yankees win the WS, I'd be a tad concerned.

The Rivera injury was obviously horrible for the team, but Soriano has come in and gotten the job done for the most part. That's all you can really ask for. It could have worked out a lot worse, that's for sure.

Maybe proving he deserves a contract to take over when Mo hangs it up after 2013 .

Sori has been tremendous this season. It is not easy to close games routinely, particularly when one has to follow the legend of Rivera.

I love seeing the Yanks win too........ but nobody wins "better" than the "ho hum, been there done that" Mo.

Don't get me wrong, Sori has been great as a closer. Much better than a 7th inning guy .

Yeah, I'm not a fan of it. But I do agree that it's not quite over the line of showing up the other team. There are other closers whose antics are far worse.

He's our guy, he's doing the job, and I'm just going to have to get used to the quirks. Might as well have fun with it, as several other posters have already done.

Soriano is going to command some money. Luckily rumor has it Joba is back by August. Mo and DRob are still here.

I really hope he does. It'd be nice to have that money freed up what with us probably having to fill an outfield spot, catcher, and DH while bringing Rivera back.

Best case scenario really. Save 12 mil and put it elsewhere more valuable (SP, corner OFer).

I fear Levine would just want him back and ownership wouldn't be any less inclined to agree given Soriano's success as Mo's backup.
