2012 Rafael Soriano Performance Thread
I know he pitched on opening day. Where has he been since?

@BloggingBombers Soriano tore a nail while warming up in the seventh. Could have pitched if game went longer.

This contract pisses me off so much. The deadline for the the $189m payroll, does that come before the end of this terrible deal.

*Bullpen phone rings*
Bullpen: Hello.
Girardi: Get Sori up, he is in next inning.
Bullpen: Yeah....about that. He has a hangnail.
Girardi: A hangnail?
Bullpen: Hangnail.
Girardi: Pitching hand?
Bullpen: Guess so.
Girardi: Sigh. Rapada?
Bullpen: Rapada?!
Girardi: Rapada.
*Phones hung up. Rapada grabs his glove*You know they are not real pies, right?

He may not be available for tonight's game:

"He tore his nail on a slider," Girardi told the media when asked why Soriano was warmed up during the seventh inning and then sat back down in favor of keeping rookie David Phelps in the game.
Soriano ended up as the only Yankees reliever who didn’t enter Tuesday’s game, although Girardi did say that he thought about trying to get him in the game once it went to extra innings.
"When it got to be the 11th inning, I said, 'Can the trainer go down there and see if they can file it off and get it to stop bleeding?'" Girardi said. "They got it to stop bleeding and it was a question, 'Can I use him or not?' Me and Larry Rothschild were going back-and-forth because if you put him in there and it starts bleeding again you could be in trouble. Now, the only guy you have left is Mo."

First time I've had the chance to see him this year - very impressive.
