Yes, but this is why I get furious when they drop two of three at home to inferior teams like Boston and Baltimore.

The feeling around this team would be completely different had they taken one more game in each of those two series.

Yeah... He finally realized that if he throws some soft stuff, he can get the Yankee hitters out on their front foot... Then when he needed a strikeout, he dialed it up.
He pitched great last night.

meh, losses to Felix & Verlander don't bother me that much. It happens there is a reason they are aces.

But going 6-9 in other 15 games in this stretch kind of sucks.

We also have to understand that there are teams that set their rotations to make sure their ace pitchers, pitch against the Yankees.

I think that happens a lot less often than people on here believe. To YT's point, the Yankees have missed some tough pitchers

No - not at all. I think some teams will skip their #5 if it sets up their pitching for a team like the Sox or the Phillies (maybe not this year).
But let's not fool ourselves. Teams are gunnin' for the Yankees a lot more than they're gunnin' for other teams.

That's life when you are a playoff contender which fortunatly for the Yanks has been quite often the past 2 decades.
