Stewart has been slightly better than Martin. So yes. He can catch. Call up Cisco Kid to backup.

Just definsively, do you guys think Chavez at 3B all game would have prevented runs? A few balls that passed Nix I feel Chavez could have had. Not to say Nix did bad, they were tough plays. Just had a feeling Chavez could have nabbed them.

Hey, here's a weird coincidence ... the last time the Yankees committed five errors in a game was ... drum roll ... July 7, 2007.
EDIT: And amazingly, the final score was 2-1. Favor of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Well, there might be one additional option quite soon:

Austin Romine, who has not played this season because of a back injury, caught Chamberlain (simulated game) and could be ready for game action in the next week or so.

Well, shoot. They've changed the Nix error to a hit. So it was only a four-error night.

Lol-- how pissed would you be if you cut off your locks in order to play for the Yankees only to be DFA'd three days later?

Thanks, folks. I knew that I could count on my buddies.

Now if this team could somehow figure out a way to create runs. You know, bunting to 1B, double-steal, jumping around on base to distract the pitcher, long at-bats to hope for a WP. Heck, we can't even be patient when an 8.00 ERA pitcher is on the hill, so what do I know? Sheesh.

Re: 2012 General Yankee Comments Thread
A couple of stats before they start tonight's game:
http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/yan...ees-at-red-sox
Power Time
The Yankees enter the final game before the All-Star break with 133 home runs. That’s one shy of the team record for most home runs prior to the break, 134, set in 2002.
The Yankees have scored at least four runs in 11 straight games against the Red Sox. If they can do it again Sunday night, they'll match the second-longest such streak against their rival in the Live Ball Era.

Going into the All Star Break:
Best Record in MLB
Largest lead in any division
Pretty impressive considering the number of major injuries this team has had to deal with right from the start of the season. Well done.
