guy use to be good, coming back from injury, has had time off, probably going to be relatively cheap. Sign him. At the very least he would be a good bullpen when someone gets knocked around early. Which until the past couple weeks, hughes, kuroda, nova had hard time getting out of the 3rd and 4th inning.

I know the NL has won its fair share of WS recently, but it's hard to take the league seriously when the elite AL teams make a mockery of the NL year after year.

The AL's interleague winning percentage so far in 2012 is .536. Yesterday each league won 7 games but the NL had 2 more road wins.

I'm surprised it's that even. Affirmation bias I guess, I notice the Yankees and Orioles dominating and forget about the Mets sweeping the Rays and the Sox being their abysmal selves.

For all the talk about the offense, this really is the heart of the matter.

In short, Andy Pettitte has been the real deal, Hiroki Kuroda has made the adjustment, and both Nova and Hughes are pitching as well as we could have hoped for. Just imagine if CC were pitching like he's really capable.

YES pointed out that the Yankees have committed the fewest errors. Our current fielding percentage leads MLB and the last team to have a fielding percentage better than what we have now was Colorado in 2007.

It would be horrible to go into a ASB/through trade deadline. thinking we're solid on pitching only to have Nova and Hughes return to April form.

I think you and I were two of the very few here that were pro-Wilson if the price was right. I can't remember exactly who, but I remember arguing with someone that said 3/$35MM for him would be an overpay.

I may not have said it, but if you could get Wilson cheap I wouldn't have minded getting him. But, most of us knew you couldn't get him at the right price.

Given the recent dominance of our SP and the effectiveness of the bullpen, as well as the hindsight of the Pineda deal, and finally our offensive struggles with RISP, how much better would our record be if Montero was in our lineup every day and we never shipped him off for Pineda?
