2012 General Yankee Comments Thread
I didn't see one of these, so I thought I'd start one.
So far, not terribly good. A minor blip, or a sign of things to come? Discuss.

A blip. This team isn't going to completely fall apart in one off season. Seen some great ABs from Swish and A-Rod. Tex has drawn a good handful of walks (though a few HITS would be nice).
After the Salami, CC really did okay. Kuroda did alright, too. I'm just seeing this as the season just beginning of the season. Tex has never been good out of the gate. CC seems to be slow. Once the weather warms up, both of these guys really light up. I'm not expecting ANYTHING like last year from Granderson. I've been loving Grittner's ABs. I'm positive. I'm not going to be a negative nancy like others. The season is too long, I wouldn't make it alive if I reacted like some.

I miss pre-2000 when New York never even noticed baseball until the Knicks were done. As much as WFAN tries to , you cannot treat baseball like the NFL. Its 162 games

Not panicking, but gotta be real too.
We just spotted what I believe our fiercest divisional competition will be a 3 game head start.
The AL is stacked, and the new WC format in the playoffs makes winning the division even more important.
No panic here, but yeah, I am concerned and it goes without saying I am quite unhappy.I used to think I was crazy... Now I am sure of it..

The way to win the division is to consistently win series. Getting swept in the first series of the season bothers me, I have to admit. The poor defensive performance is what bothers me most of all. The offense will be fine.

It is not good to be swept by the Rays, that's for sure! The kids are cheap, not like the "OLD BOSS"! They gotta spend some loot and get some star pitching!

In 1998, the Yankees started off 0-3, losing by a combined score of 21-6. 0-3 starts pretty much mean the season is over.
(Oh, also, the Orioles, Mets, and Mariners are in first place)

I'd like to see the Yankees get very, very healthy in this next series against Baltimore.

Re: 2012 General Yankee Comments Thread
3 games is 1 percent of the season.
Still 99 percent to go.
I'll predict that over that remaining 99%, the Yankees will be better than Tampa."Leave it to Yankees fans to be upset at having too many great players.”—Hitman23

It's times like this that I wish QBomb was here to say something completely ridiculous and unite the forum into rational thinking.

What happened to Q? I've not been keeping up to date around here.
