Per LoHud, today they have Nunez in Left, C-Grand in Center, Ibanez in Right, Chavez playing 3B, and A-Rod at DH.

Right, I forgot about Chavez. Pray that no one else gets injured. We literally have no bench.

Here's hoping we get a Nunez defensive highlight reel out of tonight's game....anything to get the coaches rethinking this utility infielder role.

According to http://yankees.lhblogs.com/2012/04/3...ps-vs-orioles/ in all three games of the series the Orioles will be starting the pitcher with the better ERA and the difference is more than 2 runs for the first two games. I wonder when the last time that happened in a Yankees-Orioles series was.

Probably have to go back a few years for that one.

why did we let Brackman walk into free agency? He could have been used to fill in for freddy/hughes. I thought out of all 3 of the killer b's he was most mlb ready

He is having a disastrous year in the minors, just like had last year. Much worse than Hughes.

Yep, 1-3 with a 9.87 ERA and a 1.96 WHIP are the stats of a savior. Bring Andrew Brackman back, Cashman - make it happen.

    No. He's on first.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

Well, I was wrong. I thought nunez would do much better in the outfield then infield. And as much as I love Hughes, I think we should put him to bed also. We've got to get another starting pitcher.

It's not a fair assessment. He's had way more experience as an infielder and isn't good at it, but even though he looks rough in the outfield you tell by a few good plays he's made that logging a bunch of innings out there should make him serviceable...he has the speed and the athleticism, he just has no experience. Like others have said though, get the experience in AAA, not here.

Fans here have said that about the Yankees every year after games when they don't hit. Even my Little League team would look old to some of you guys.

I manage by the book. My real talent is drafting. That is why my teams generally win. But let's not divert this thread further.
