Opening Day at Yankee Stadium
6 days to go! The good news is the forecast has changed from rainy and crappy to sunny and getting warmer. We may even see 70's.
Anything new at the Stadium this year? I do know Hertiage Park is now open across the street

Apropos Heritage Park, the Times had a story on it yesterday:

Can't wait! There's nothing quite like Opening Day at the Stadium.
Here are a few pics I took at the Inaugural Opening Day in 2009.
I taking pictures from 161st St. before the game and all of the suddenI see Yogi in a car right next to me. Wouldn't you think the Yanks would have sent a limo for the guy that is throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at your new $1.6 Billion stadium?

National Anthem

Opening Ceremonies

First pitch

The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

Yogi is always hanging around, I saw him walking out of a town car (not a honda!) a couple years back by the media entrance. Always has a smile on his face. The man has some of the highest quality genes on this planet

He is truly a great guy. I used to see him once in a while at his stadium where the nj jackals play in montclair. He'll spend time with anyone and is always around for pics and autos.

Re: Opening Day at Yankee Stadium
Just over 48 hours to go, forecast is holding up at 64° real feel and mostly sunny

About 2500 tickets left on stubhub if you don't have seats yet but prices start at about $72. Could go down but IMO it will have to be last minute because I think the Yankees have probably released most of their tickets by now. They still have to release foul pole seats though (207 / 307 / 407A)

Re: Opening Day at Yankee Stadium
- Jorge Posada will throw out the first pitch. He will be the 11th former player to throw out the ceremonial first pitch in the Yankees' 110 home openers.
- Jeremy Jordan, from the Broadway show "Newsies," will sing the national anthem.
- 75 West Point cadets will unfurl a giant American flag.
- The West Point Color Guard will present the colors.
- Immediately following the National Anthem there will be a flyover by a Navy F-18 Super Hornet ceremonial flyover.
- Paul Nolan from the Broadway show "Jesus Christ Superstar" will sing “God Bless America” during the seventh-inning stretch.

Re: Opening Day at Yankee Stadium
These were released a long time ago. They were sold as group and they were the FIRST that were sold.
I would doubt it that the price would go down - now that "a last chance to see Jorge on the field" announced. Along with the "better weather in the forecast" also, it will be a good Opening day either way. It's never about what you know, it's who you know ..... and who's willing to help you to get where you want to be.
