It's going to be a fun ride.
I didn't understand when/where the first scene took place. In season 1, Walt turns 50. In this opening scene he is 52. I have no idea how much time passed between the seasons.

Well one thing is for sure Walter is getting cocky which will get him caught. Not in a bad way, I think it's great. I don't think this show will end with a happy ending. Great episode as usual though.

OMG I literally cried when they showed Ted Benneke in the hospital bed.

Re: Breaking Bad (Season 5)
I would not be surprised to see this scene again at some point during the 2nd half of this season (next summer
)
Solid opener last night. Mike was great. He, Jesse, and Walt are a pretty good threesome. Hank is not giving up, and finding that routing/banking number in the Caymans should give them some good leads to go on. Like you said, it's going to be a fun ride.

Re: Breaking Bad (Season 5)
I agree completely. Mike is awesome.

My theory about the first scene is that that it may be the end of the series with Walt running away. I don't see a happy ending here with Walt out of the business and not getting caught. I believe he will be caught or be on the run, or die of cancer. Either way this finale might be pretty heart wrenching. I can't wait. I have the utter most confidence in the writers on this show.NYYFans Fantasy Baseball

Re: Breaking Bad (Season 5)
Wow...Tio Saltalmaca was nominated? That's awesome.
I was out of town this week so just caught up on the episode. The beginning was very interesting and shows that things will not end up good for Walt.
Season 4 is up on netflix now. I'll have to re watch the end of the season because I have no recollection of Hank regaining the ability to walk. Last I remember, Walt crashed his Aztec with Hank in it instead of turning in to the laundry.

Re: Breaking Bad (Season 5)
It's amazing how this show continues to captivate. Every season, every episode. It really is a shame it's coming to an end soon. But damn are they going to go out on top.
Any theories as to what the opening scene in the first episode was about? Maybe I'm stating the obvious but Walter on the run seems to be the easiest answer and sometimes that's the case. In season 2 when they kept showing the pool and the doll I sort of thought about the easiest conclusion with that and wound up being basically right about it.NYYFans Fantasy Baseball
