Re: 2012 Joe Girardi Performance Thread
Awful job letting Hughes pitch to McLouth. Four scoreless innings, but his command is some of the worst I've seen.

Re: 2012 Joe Girardi Performance Thread
Your idea was to replace Hughes in the 4th inning of a scoreless game so he didn't have to face Nate McLouth? What?

Re: 2012 Joe Girardi Performance Thread
Hughes looked horrible today. He got away with so many pitches up and out over the plate.
It ended up working out for the better, but he did not look good at all.

2 pinch hit opportunities for Ibanez there and he doesn't take either of them.

Alex looked good up until that AB....Swisher on the other hand, its amazing how he skates under the radar.

Re: 2012 Joe Girardi Performance Thread
How don't you pinch hit Ibaņez? I am 100% certain that Ibaņez would have at least made contact, and all that was needed in that situation is a fly ball or even a grounder. O'day has owned Alex this whole series. I don't think Alex has made any contact off him. It was a no brainer, and it's a darn shame Joe considered A-rod's feelings over winning the game.
