When he gets into one of these streaks he can hit ten homers in the next 15 games!

Please fire Cashman, so some Yankee fans can have hope again.

Seems strange to be fighting when they're on such a roll. Any idea why?

Maybe Cano was just being moody.

Weren't you the guy with a sibling or cousin who was dating Cano or something like that? We should all be asking you.

Seems like A-rod was smiling at the end of it all. Must be some general clubhouse banter. Who knows.
40 pitchers, ever, have an ERA+ of 130 or higher for their career. 15 have 140 or higher. 3 guys have 150 or higher - one is right at 150, the second place guy is at 154, and Mariano Rivera is at 205.

Surprised that wasn't on the back page of the NY Post today. "Yankees in crisis as Cano and A-Rod brawl on field" win 9th in a row
"We understand that John Henry must be embarrassed, frustrated and disappointed by his failure in this transaction. Unlike the Yankees, he chose not to go the extra distance for his fans in Boston."

Re: 2012 Robinson Cano performance thread

A YouTube video showing Robinson Cano throwing an elbow at Alex Rodriguez during the Yankees’ celebratory handshake line Sunday created some online buzz Monday as many fans wondered whether the two infielders were in the midst of a feud.

Turns out, they were simply continuing a long-running custom of acting like children.

A-Rod and Cano both laughed when asked separately about the incident, stressing that there was no tension between them.

“We’re like brothers; we horse around all the time,” A-Rod said. “We have fun with each other.”
“We were just messing around,” said Cano, who homered for the second time in as many days as the Yankees beat the Braves, 6-2, at the Satdium Monday night.

    “That’s what we do.”
Looks like it is nothing. What a shame .

Watching from the upper deck last night, I wasn't sure if Cano's home run was going to make it over the fence. But that may have been the hardest-hit ball I've seen since Sheffield (feh!) was a Yankee.

Robbie is back in the swing of things. Now if only he can get a few of his (well paid) teammates to join him. Then the Yankees can really roll.

Tex looks like he is piecing it together. I'd expect him to be in line for some big things soon.

When Cano smiles too much, his production drops. This is pat of his anti-smiling anger creation treatment program.

Cano had 38 walks all of last season. He already has 27 this year.

    Haha

It's funny that he's walking more but swinging at worse pitches (it seems like to me). He's not being aggressive in the right counts, chasing pitchers' pitches out of the zone for easy outs.

Of course, it's mostly with RISP that he does this. He's fine with the bases empty (.975 OPS) or a runner on 1st only (1.128 OPS).

Re: 2012 Robinson Cano performance thread

Cano needs to ignore the runners on base and just go with the "see the ball, hit the ball" plan.
