Re: The Official 2012 Watching The Scoreboard Thread
The Yankees had a lot of injuries this year, but Toronto is in another class in that regard. Just lost their catcher with a fracture hand.
It's all Cashman's fault!

I don't know if its official, but when Jim Johnson starts to break down, the Orioles are toast and headed towards their annual cellar position.

And he hits the second batter he faces in the 8th... in the head. Lucky for him it was a curve ball

Re: The Official 2012 Watching The Scoreboard Thread
God damn it! I stopped watching the Rangers/Angles game after Pujols' 2nd HR, and missed the huge rally in the bottom of the 10th. That's some win for Texas.

Re: The Official 2012 Watching The Scoreboard Thread
he embodies the clichés of post-Yankee life. His face has stubble. A pair of fishing rods were propped up in his locker. He appreciates not being hounded constantly by fans about his performance. And he said he feels a levity, a lack of internal pressure, which he believes affected him in the Bronx. “It’s completely different,” he said. “I can go out there and do what I want, how I want, when I want to. If I want to turn around upside down, I can do it — as long as I throw a strike. It was always the pressure I put on myself to do so good. And now, I’m just out there, just doing it.”
Guess I'll take AJ's word and not some random poster on a message board.

Re: The Official 2012 Watching The Scoreboard Thread
Seeing AJ do well is wonderful. He always tried his best for us. And none of us can fault him for that. He did the right thing for his family by taking the money on a contract he should have never been offered. Glad to see he can enjoy pitching during some of that contract.

Nolan's gotta be fuming. Taking Dempster out after only 103 pitches. What is Ron Washington thinking?
