    y u no make it 5.0
40 pitchers, ever, have an ERA+ of 130 or higher for their career. 15 have 140 or higher. 3 guys have 150 or higher - one is right at 150, the second place guy is at 154, and Mariano Rivera is at 205.

Meguesses that Bub wants one "scoreboard" thread each year.

I really don't care. If a majority wants 5.0 added I'll do that. Threads eventually get too long and become burdensome...that's the only reason to start another one.

Blame me. I put in a request to get the old thread closed and a new one begun for this 2012 season. It seemed kind of silly to me to continue with last year's scoreboard thread in this new season.

Probably one of the most idiotic things ever. The first game of the season is not even on America ground, not to mention that we couldn't even watch the game live. ESPN aired the game 3 hours later at 9am.

Re: The Official 2012 Watching The Scoreboard Thread

I imagine even fewer people would have watched the game if it was aired live. I still don't get why they decided to do it like this, other than to give at least one of the Ms or As the ability to say they were in first place in all of baseball for a week.

Edit: Of course both teams blew it and split the series.

I like the idea of starting a new one each year too. It makes sense IMO.

Billy the Marlin is pretty great. Especially with his new pants.

Billy's been their mascot since they joined the league, but he got new pants and a multi-colored sail this year to go with the new uni's.

I really hope they come in 5th in the NL East.....this entire re-launch or whatever you wanna call it is a joke...Even Francona found it hard to call it a great facility....he seemed hesistant.

Verlander gets the Sox 1-2-3 to start the season. May that be one of many for the beantowners.
