I actually woke up at 6 to watch the game. And root against Felix. Damn scheduling, out of all the pitchers in the league in this half-week of games, I'm facing Felix - twice.

I don't know why people keep bashing me for wearing my Pirates hat. They are a non factor in the other league. I've been wearing it all winter to poker games. It's become a lucky hat. Of course now the Yankee hat goes on but when I play cards I can't change until I lose.

Well, it is kind of funny, Mr. Yankees Fan, to be walking around in a Pirates hat. But I guess it would have been weirder if it was Isaacs in his Joba jersey...

(And I'd rather think it's my incredible poker skill that keeps me finishing in the money, and not a lucky hat...)

Well obviously it's a skill but I am little superstitious. One is if I wear something new to a game and do really well I keep doing it until I lose. I'm 7 for my last 10 tournaments with wins. Not finishing in the money, wins. Plus I wore it to all my drafts and I believe I had good drafts in all leagues. So I may just keep wearing it. Everyone knows I'm a Yankee fan, it's no secret. And pirates are cool.

Just curious, Felix threw 8 innings w/ 6 SO's and only gave up 5 hits, 1 ER and hit 2 batters. When I saw his stat line this morning my first thought was... wow somebody got a 30+ game to start their season off... but then I checked the scores and felix only got 26 pts. Under last years scoring system how many pts would he have scored as compared to scoring 26 this year ?

Also, when I saw the game went into extra innings I thought for sure that De Los Santos would've gotten to pitch considering he was tabbed as their 7th inning guy....nope...OAK used 4-5 RP's and De Los Santos sat...bummer

Well he gave up 5 hits, hit 2 batters and and gave up and ER and did not get the win. I don't see anything strange about it.

total 35 points

total -9

35-9=26

So the rosters are really locked? I have so many question marks and the start of real season is still almost five days away. Maybe we should reconsider that rule the next time we start a season in Japan.

I'm not happy either. But we all have to deal with it. However much it sucks. It was impossible to set your lineup 2 weeks in advance. week 1 is a wildcard week.

...Not that I'd be making the playoffs this season, mind you. Just asking out of curiosity.
